Freehold Radiology Group was one of only a few groups in New Jersey
to be awarded “Practice Accreditation” from the prestigious
American College of Radiology Commission on Standards and Accreditation.
This designation is in addition to our ACR and FDA accreditation for
Mammography and our ACR accreditation for Ultrasound, MRI, CT Scan,
PET/CT and Nuclear Medicine. For our patient’s convenience, we
are open evenings and weekends and participate with most managed care
insurance carriers.
Under the supervision of Barry Friedenberg, M.D., Chairman of the
Department of Radiology at CentraState Medical Center, our offices
are staffed by 16 board certified radiologists whose subspecialty expertise
includes Neuroradiology, MR Body Imaging, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine
and Angiography. One of our radiologists is always available in your
community for consultation- 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at CentraState
Medical Center. Our support staff is available to answer any questions
about your examinations and to assist with scheduling.
Our Freehold MR Associates Office, located on the campus of CentraState
Medical Center, offers MRI/MRA services on State of the Art High Field
MR systems. This new generation of MRI technology is now available
at Freehold MR Associates. Our two magnets are both 1.5 Tesla High
Field strength, so whether you choose our Short Bore or NEW Open Bore
magnet you and your physician will receive high quality images, with
reduced scan time in a comfortable and newly renovated setting. Our
NEW Siemens Espree OPEN Bore MRI is the system of choice for the larger,
claustrophobic or highly anxious individual. It provides five times
the power of other open MRI machines while providing a feeling of openness.
Our entire MR facility has been licensed by the New Jersey Department
of Health and Senior Services. In addition the entire MR facility is
ACR accredited. We are pleased to announce the addition of PET/CT scanning
to this office. PET/CT fusion is the most advanced non-invasive medical
imaging technique available today. PET/CT combines the fine structural
detail of CT with PET's ability to detect changes in cell function
in order to identify both the presence of disease and its precise location.
This combination allows for earlier and more accurate detection of
disease than PET alone.
Freehold Radiology Group has been serving the greater Freehold area
with quality and professional care for over 25 years. As hospital-based
physicians, we have been responsible for introducing new technology
to the Freehold area. We offer the latest technology in CT Scanning
with our New Philips Briliance 64 Slice Scanner. Our State of the Art
64 Slice CT Scanner offers a wide range of routine and advanced procedures,
including cardiovascular, oncology, pulmonary, neurology, stroke assessment,
and orthopedics. We are proud to offer Nuclear Medicine, as well as
Dual Isotope Myocardial Perfusion Studies in both our private office
and hospital practice. We value the importance of CentraState as our
community hospital and have always partnered with the hospital to serve
the best interest of the community. As members of the community, the
physicians have assumed a leadership role in establishing quality assurance
and radiation safety programs. We are proud to have opened the first
free standing imaging centers to offer CT, MRI, and PET/CT Scanning
services in the community.
